The WhatsApp messaging application is currently one of the most used tools when it comes to communicating. This app, owned by Meta, allows us to send text messages in real time, make calls (either with or without video), send files or create groups with the contacts we consider, as long as they also have the application installed.
Groups on WhatsApp are very useful for creating conversations between several people and they are set up quickly and easily, since all you have to do is access the application, click on the new chat icon and select the “New group” option to add it to him up to a maximum of 256 members.
The ease of creating groups in WhatsApp has the advantage that everyone can create them without much problem, but its negative aspect is that they can include you in as many groups as other users want without the possibility of choosing whether you want to be part of them or not. .
Since the consent of the person included in the group is not requested, below we explain two ways to leave the groups in which you are included without being detected by the rest of the members. At least not in an obvious way.
The first mode that we want to share with you does not strictly imply leaving the WhatsApp group, but for practical purposes it would be as if you were no longer in it. To do this, you must first silence the group’s notifications: access the WhatsApp group, click on the icon of the three points arranged vertically, click on “Group Info”, locate the “Mute notifications” option and select “Always”. Also in that menu you must select “Personalize Notifications” and uncheck “Notif. personalized” if you have them.
At this point, it will only be necessary to archive the chat so that it stops appearing in the list of conversations. To do this, within the initial window you will have to long press on the chosen chat. The archive icon (box with the arrow pointing down) will appear in the upper right part of the screen: click on it and the chat will be archived.
If you have followed the instructions, you will no longer receive notifications from that group nor will it be visible in your chat window, so you will have gotten rid of the inconvenience that you did not want to continue going through.
The second way that we want to propose does remove you from the group you want and for this you will have to use a third-party application called Groupxit, as long as your mobile is Android. Search for it on Google, download it from the Internet, as it is an APK file and not available on the Google Play Store, and you will be able to list all the groups in which you have been included, select the one you want to leave and press OK to leave it without any notification is displayed in the group. Keep in mind that you will also be removed from the list of participants, so if someone reviews the members of the group then they will be able to notice your absence.
Keep in mind that WhatsApp in its Terms and Conditions of Use does not authorize third-party applications to interact with its application. They could block your account, so follow this last tip at your own risk.
